It was a Saturday for the Youth of Trinidad and Tobago.
Over 4000 children hailing from more than 100 schools from every town and village across our Multi-Cultural Nation joined together as one massive choir to make history in the Caribbean on Saturday 16th May 2015 at the T&T Young Voices event.
Our Dunross Choir took part and represented us with pride and grace while rubbing shoulders with celebrities such as Tessanne Chin and Randolph Matthews. This was surely a life changing experience for all involved.
The choir then treated us to a sample of their Gospel repertoire during this Friday's assembly. They sang, they moved and they rocked us with their sweet voices.
Thanks so much again to Teachers, Parents and particularly our CHOIR MEMBERS for your hard work and dedication!!
Wednesday 20th May 2015 marked a special day as BRITTA RAJKUMAR, author of "Boysie and the Kiskadee" visited our Library and treated our Junior School (Kg through Inf 2) to a special reading of her book.
Set in our own island of Trinidad where there are lots of pretty kiskadee birds, Boysie our hero, befriends Mr. Kiskadee and the other forest animals. Mr. Kiskadee just lost his home because Mr. Mean Tractor has cut down the tree in which he built his nest. Our hero Boysie now has a huge task to help Mr. Kiskadee find a new home.
This eco-friendly book teaches children what they can do to help save the environment we live in now.
Much thanks to Miss Rajkumar for sharing her time and her wonderful book with us!
